At Picaboo Pictures, we know how special your pet is to you and your family and the joy and love they bring into your world. What better way to honour their existence, than to have their personality, character, special features and overall cuteness beautifully captured in an everlasting memory. We shoot high end images using professional lighting, props and positioning to get the perfect image that will ensure they are with you forever. Our photographs are so tastefully created they can become pieces of art.
Picaboo Pictures offers a range of pet photography sessions from playful puppies to sensitive seniors both in studio or any Auckland location.

Pricing
Session fees include a consultation to ensure we have shared expectations, the photography shoot itself and a viewing session. At the viewing session, which will take place in our West Auckland studio or online, you will see the various images of your pet captured during the shoot and select from the range of packages containing digital files to purchase. You can then decide upon your favourite images to be professionally edited as part of the package you choose.
Once edited, you will be sent the images in a high resolution digital file (the number of files is dependent on the package you select). They will be available in both colour and black & white. This means you will receive double the number of files as a bonus. The images will be available for you to download and can easily be shared with friends and family. You will also have the ability to print the images in hard copy at your convenience.
The RAW files of your images will be stored for up to 12 months meaning you can come back for more edits.
On top of your digital files, we also have a wide range of printing, framing and gifting options. You can find more information on our Printing Page.
Our sessions require a 50% deposit (non-refundable) to secure your preferred date and a suitable time slot.

All pet portraits and photos are for personal use only. You will receive the Terms And Conditions with your booking in which you agree not to use any images for commercial use.

Jenna (The baker) and Louie (The Cake-Tester) are a perfect team making delicious (this is tested and approved by our own little lab) mini treat sized cupcakes.
Each cupcake is made with human grade, health beneficial ingredients including locally sourced product such as Pics Peanut Butter & New Zealand Honey. Each pupcake is made with a touch of love that will have your pooch begging for more.
Do you want to add some pupcakes to your shoot to change things up?
For an extra $35, you can add 4 cupcakes to your shoot!
Just order them when you book, and we will get them all delivered on the day to our address on the shoot.
We keep them refrigerated so that your pooch has nice fresh pupcakes for their shoot. Whatever is not used in the shoot, can be taken home for another special moment.
The pupcakes stay good for 3 days in the fridge in an airtight container or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
FAQ
I am worried my pet won't co-operate or pose for the photos, can I still book a session?
Believe me when I say, not a lot of dogs are trained models and will pose for a photoshoot. Most will have never been in a professional shoot before. Don’t worry, we will ensure your pet is comfortable in the studio to get the best outcome.
It does help when your pup knows the sit command, but there isn’t much that can’t be solved with treats 😉
We have done shoots before with 8 week old pups who have had no training.
Can I have props in the photoshoot?
You Sure can! Our studio offers a large range of props for you to use. We have baskets for smaller dogs, blocks for larger dogs to stand on, blankets and toys. If your dog has a favourite toy or you have another prop in mind you are most welcome to bring it along!
What do I bring on the shoot?
Your pet! The main thing to bring is of course the star of the shoot. We also highly recommend you to bring a collar and lead as it might help with positioning (leads and collars can be edited out in post production).
If your pup has anything that makes them feel comfortable, like a blanket, a stuffed toy or a favourite toy, please feel free to bring it along.
Picaboo Pictures provides the treats and props. If you prefer your dog to have special treats or if your dog has any allergies, we highly recommend bringing your own.
Water bowls will be available for the pup in our studio and your pet will have access to our home studio garden before, during and after the shoot.
